11.30pm and we received a call about a snake that had found it's way into the bathroom of a home in Abbeymead. Now I haven't had a whole lot of experience with snakes, and do not have the equipment at home to look after one, but thankfully we work with a network of rescuers, who all have a specialty in one species or another. I can not thank Alec and his son enough for coming out with me to this call, and calmly capturing the snake, which we believe is a house snake, and taking it home to look after while try and locate the owner.
Getting home in the early hours of the morning and trying to relax enough to sleep when you've just come face to face with a snake wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, we just have to find where it cam from now. If you are missing a 4' house snake, please get in touch.
